Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety, LLC is seeking a Security Service Technician to independently service and maintain fire alarm and security systems across commercial and industrial sites. The role covers installation, programming, commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of fire alarm control panels, intrusion alarms, access control, CCTV, and related low-voltage systems.

Applicants should have hands-on experience with fire alarm systems, read wiring diagrams, and possess a valid Texas license.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience installing, programming, commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting fire alarm systems is required.
• Ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, if driving role.
• FAL and Texas security license required.
• OSHA 30 preferred.
• FEL-K preferred.
• MSHA training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Independently install, program, commission, troubleshoot, service, repair, inspect, test, and maintain fire alarm systems, including devices and control panels.
• Independently troubleshoot, service, repair, inspect, and maintain intrusion alarms, access control, CCTV, and low-voltage systems.
• Perform programming, system modifications, testing, and commissioning of fire alarm control panels and equipment.
• Diagnose system issues and complete corrective actions in a timely and professional manner.
• Test and verify proper system functionality and compliance with applicable codes and customer requirements.
• Travel to job sites as required.
