Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety, LLC is seeking a Security Service Technician to independently service and maintain intrusion alarms, access control, CCTV, and related low-voltage systems. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs, and ensure compliance with codes and customer requirements.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, testing system functionality, and performing preventive maintenance while communicating job progress to the team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in fire and life safety as an apprentice or technician.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record, if driving role.
• Strong working knowledge of intrusion alarms, access control, CCTV, and low-voltage systems.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform service, troubleshooting, repair, inspection, and maintenance of security systems including intrusion alarms, access control, CCTV, and related low-voltage systems.
• Diagnose system issues and complete corrective actions in a timely and professional manner.
• Test and verify proper system functionality and compliance with applicable codes, standards, and customer requirements.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on security and low-voltage systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, system layouts, and technical manuals.
• Communicate professionally with customers, team members, and supervisors regarding job progress and system status.
