Job summary

Summit Fire & Security is seeking an Inspector to inspect, test, and maintain fire protection systems including sprinkler systems, pumps, and backflows in Garland, TX. This role requires following NFPA codes, reporting deficiencies, and coordinating inspections with customers and internal teams.

Applicants should have HS Diploma or equivalent, NICET or state certification, and 3–5 years of relevant experience; 5+ years preferred. Strong communication, math, and training abilities are essential.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years' experience inspecting fire protection systems; 5+ years preferred.
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• Strong math, mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting and multitasking abilities.
• Good customer service, decision making, and scheduling skills.
• Willingness to train others and meet project timelines.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, and maintain fire protection systems per NFPA codes.
• Record and report deficiencies to SFS and customers.
• Communicate professionally with customers and partners.
• Coordinate inspections and respond to emergencies while on-call.
• Maintain tools and vehicle in good condition.
