Accura Engineering is seeking a Fire Protection Engineer to support federal construction projects in Fort Hood, TX, with responsibilities across design reviews, testing, and life-safety system coordination.

The candidate will ensure compliance with UFC 3-600-01 and NFPA standards, lead project reviews, and provide technical guidance to project teams and government personnel. A PE license and 5+ years of experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• PE license required; 5+ years fire protection engineering experience.
• Familiarity with UFC 3-600-01 and NFPA standards.
• USACE or federal project experience preferred.
• Strong writing, communication, and coordination skills.

Responsabilités

• Provide fire protection engineering support for federal construction projects.
• Serve as SME for fire and life safety systems, ensuring UFC 3-600-01/NFPA compliance.
• Design reviews, inspections, QA, submittal reviews, acceptance testing.
• Coordinate with project teams throughout all construction phases.
• Review contractor submittals and RFIs; advise on deficiencies.
• Schedule final acceptance testing of fire protection systems.
• Provide technical guidance on facility design and fire protection features.
• Support government personnel and project managers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
