Job summary

Accura Engineering seeks a Fire Protection Engineer to support federal construction projects at Fort Hood, Texas. You will serve as the subject matter expert for fire protection and life-safety systems, ensuring compliance with UFC 3-600-01 and NFPA standards.

Responsibilities include design reviews, inspections, QA, submittal reviews, and coordination with project teams through all construction phases. Must hold PE license and have 5+ years of experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• PE license required.
• Minimum of five years fire protection engineering experience.
• Experience with UFC 3-600-01, NFPA standards, and fire/life safety.
• USACE or federal project experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide fire protection engineering support for federal construction projects.
• Review designs, perform inspections, and coordinate with project teams.
• Lead submittal reviews, acceptance testing, and QA oversight.
• Provide guidance on facility design and fire protection systems.
• Review RFIs, contractor submittals, and field changes.
