Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. is looking for a Fire Protection Engineer to support federal construction projects at Fort Hood, Texas. You will serve as the subject matter expert for fire and life safety systems, ensuring compliance with UFC 3-600-01 and NFPA standards throughout design reviews, inspections, and testing.

Applicants must hold a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, a PE license, and at least five years of fire protection experience; US citizenship and ability to pass

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college.
• PE license required.
• Minimum of five (5) years of Fire Protection Engineering experience.
• US citizen and able to pass a background review and drug screen.

Responsabilités

• Establish understanding of UFC 3-600-01 and NFPA fire protection standards.
• Attend meetings and coordinate with stakeholders on fire protection features of work.
• Perform reviews, inspections, and QA for fire protection systems.
• Review contractor submittals and RFIs with technical comments.
• Schedule and conduct final acceptance testing of fire suppression, detection, and alarm systems.
• Provide technical guidance on facility design and life safety requirements.
