Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. seeks a Fire Protection Engineer to support federal construction projects at Fort Hood, Texas, serving as the SME for fire and life safety systems and ensuring UFC 3-600-01 and NFPA compliance through design reviews, inspections, QA, submittals, and acceptance testing.

The ideal candidate has a BS in Mechanical Engineering, a PE license, and at least five years of fire protection experience, with strong writing and coordination skills to work with

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Minimum of five years of fire protection engineering experience.
• Knowledge of UFC 3-600-01 and NFPA standards.
• Experience with USACE or federal projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Understand UFC 3-600-01 and NFPA requirements.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to execute fire protection features.
• Review BCOES and plan-in-hand reviews and apply lessons learned.
• Conduct inspections and ensure contract compliance.
• Prepare technical reports identifying deficiencies and corrective actions.
• Provide guidance on facility design and fire protection systems.
• Review submittals, RFIs, and field changes; support testing.
