Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking a Fire Protection Engineer for Fort Hood, Texas. The role focuses on fire and life safety systems compliance with UFC 3-600-01 and NFPA standards, including design reviews, inspections, QA, submittal reviews, and acceptance testing across federal construction projects.
The ideal candidate holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, a PE license, and at least five years of Fire Protection experience, with USACE or federal project exposure
Competenze
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Minimum of five (5) years of Fire Protection Engineering experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of UFC 3-600-01, NFPA standards, and fire/life safety requirements.
- Experience with USACE or federal projects preferred.
Mansioni
- Establish understanding of fire protection requirements related to UFC 3-600-01 and NFPA standards.
- Attend project meetings and coordinate with stakeholders for fire protection features of work.
- Perform reviews, inspections, and acceptance testing of fire protection systems.
- Prepare detailed technical reports and provide guidance on facility design and construction.
- Review contractor submittals, respond to RFIs, and conduct final acceptance testing.
