Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is hiring a Fire Project Specialist in Madison, WI to lead on-site project delivery for assigned customers and projects. You will manage installation coordination, communication across stakeholders, and adherence to contract requirements and codes.

Overview includes financial oversight, change-order evaluation, and coordination with QA, engineering, and vendors. You will ensure safety and compliance while delivering documentation and warranties.

Qualifications

Minimum High School diploma or equivalent.
Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
Two-year business or construction management degree or applicable on-the-job experience.

Responsibilities

Plan, execute, and complete assigned projects, including installation coordination and project closeout.
Manage overall project financial results including costs, billings, collections, and gross margin.
Pursue change orders and evaluate impact of scope changes, field directives, and scheduling revisions.
Coordinate communication with customer representatives across Quality Assurance, Engineering, Validation, and related departments.
Support the selection, ordering, delivery scheduling, and procurement of project materials.
Oversee subcontractor payment and billing processes as required.
Coordinate jobsite execution and ensure installation aligns with Johnson Controls literature and project requirements.
Prepare and maintain accurate as-built documentation, commissioning records, manuals, and warranty documentation.
