Job summary
Convergint is seeking a full-time Project Manager (Fire/Life Safety) in Houston to lead complex installation projects, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery while maintaining safety and quality standards. This is a customer-facing role requiring strong communication with clients, teams, and subcontractors.
You will oversee project scope, procurement, milestones and reporting, translate client needs into actionable plans, and coach project staff.
Qualifications
- PM experience in technical environments (building automation, fire alarm and/or electronic security)
- Ability to translate client needs into actionable plans
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Experience with budgeting and cost control
- PMI or other certifications preferred
Responsibilities
- Manage, oversee, and coordinate multiple small to medium projects from award to completion
- Translate customer requirements into detailed proposals and implementation plans
- Communicate project requirements to project team and stakeholders
- Maintain accurate records of job status, material flow, and changes for reports
- Coordinate procurement of materials, services and subcontractors as needed
