Job summary

Johnson Controls is hiring Inspectors in Memphis to perform routine inspections, testing and maintenance on electrical, sprinkler and suppression life-safety products. You will document deficiencies, meet customer expectations and represent the company professionally.

You may perform minor repairs, complete coding on devices, and follow a strict inspection schedule. The role requires physical labor, travel, and enrollment in Grinnell's approved Apprenticeship Program.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 3 years of sprinkler inspection experience.
• Ability to obtain and retain licenses required by codes.
• Experience reading blueprints, diagrams and specs.
• Pass a pre-employment background and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Inspect electrical, sprinkler or suppression products and perform testing.
• Document deficiencies accurately and professionally.
• Complete service acknowledgements with proper coding.
• Follow a structured inspection schedule and deadlines.
• Carry/move equipment up to 70 lbs and perform minor repairs.
• Be enrolled in Grinnell's approved Apprenticeship Program and learn quickly.
