Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an Inspector to perform routine inspections, testing and preventive maintenance on electrical, sprinkler or suppression life safety product lines. You will work with low voltage wiring, complete service acknowledgements, and maintain inspection records.

The role requires 2+ years in installation or service of fire alarm equipment, ability to travel, weekends, and a valid driver’s license. A Company vehicle and comprehensive benefits may be included where applicable.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Installation or Service Experience in testing and inspecting Fire Alarm Equipment.
• Able to travel out of town including overnight lodging.
• Willing to work weekends to meet customer requirements.
• Must have valid driver's license and driving record.
• Able to obtain required licenses by codes.

Responsibilities

• Inspect electrical, sprinkler or suppression life safety product lines and related equipment.
• Work with low voltage wiring and devices for operations.
• Complete service acknowledgements with proper coding via laptops or paper.
• Maintain a structured inspection schedule and archive documents.
• Perform minor repairs and programming changes as needed.
• Provide training to less senior inspectors and trainees.
• Complete inspections on time and perform other duties as assigned.
