Job summary

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree from an accredited college or university
  • Five (5) years of full-time work experience in the fire or emergency services field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the duties
  • Possess and maintain industry credentials: NC OEMS Certified Paramedic Level 1 instructor; NC OSFM certified Level II Fire Instructor and one NC OSFM certification topic; American Heart Association instructor in BLS, ACLS, and PALS

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize and coordinate the instructional delivery of assigned program areas in line with College policies and OSFM/OEMS requirements
  • Supervise instructors and courses in fire, rescue, and EMS, and monitor class progress
  • Prioritize and assign work, conduct evaluations, ensure policies are followed, and make staffing decisions
  • Collaborate with advisory boards and community stakeholders to align training with industry needs
  • Maintain program compliance with accreditation and regulatory agencies
