Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Five (5) years of full-time work experience in the fire or emergency services field.
  • NC OEMS Certified Paramedic Level 1 instructor.
  • NC OSFM certified Level II Fire Instructor.
  • American Heart Association instructor in BLS, ACLS, and PALS.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize and coordinate the instructional delivery of assigned program areas.
  • Supervise instructors and instruction in fire, rescue, EMS classes; monitor progress.
  • Prioritize and assign work; conduct performance evaluations; manage staffing decisions.
  • Prepare and analyze information to inform decisions.
  • Collaborate with advisory boards and stakeholders to deliver training meeting industry needs.
  • Recruit instructors.
  • Ensure program compliance with accreditation and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain adherence to college policies and supervision chain.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Education

Associate's Degree from an accredited college or university
Five (5) years of full-time work experience in the fire or emergency services field
NC OEMS Certified Paramedic Level 1 instructor
NC OSFM certified Level II Fire Instructor
American Heart Association instructor in BLS, ACLS, and PALS
