Job summary

Sciens Building Solutions is seeking an experienced Fire Service Technician in Plymouth Meeting, PA. The role focuses on troubleshooting, repairing, and programming fire and life safety systems, with emphasis on NFPA standards and safe electrical practices.

Ideal candidates will have 2–5 years in the field, NICET I certification, and the ability to train other technicians, while maintaining strong communication with customers and the service team.

Qualifications

• Two to five years in a repair or systems technician role within Fire Life and Safety.
• Knowledge of current fire alarm systems, including smoke control, GUIs, and networked solutions.
• NFPA 72 code requirements knowledge.
• Article 760 NFPA 70 electrical code knowledge for installation and circuiting.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and ability to obtain OSHA 10.
• Ability to read fire system design drawings.
• Ability to train and develop other technicians.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting and repairing Fire and Life Safety systems (conventional, addressable, voice, smoke control, networked).
• Program systems via laptop computers.
• Ensure circuit integrity and proper operation; diagnose faults (opens/shorts/ground).
• Assist in managing vehicle inventory and tools.
• Provide guidance to other technicians and customers.
