Job summary

The Hiller Companies, LLC is seeking a Fire Alarm Service Technician to inspect, test, maintain, and repair fire alarm systems in commercial and industrial settings.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, vocational fire alarm training, and NICET licensing; valid driver license required; strong troubleshooting and customer service skills are essential. Travel to client sites may be needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Technical or vocational training in fire alarm systems is preferred.
• NICET certifications are strongly preferred.
• State Fire Alarm licensing is preferred or obtainable.
• Valid driver's license with safe driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and test fire alarm components and control panels.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports per NFPA codes.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions and perform repairs.
• Respond to service calls and restore system functionality.
• Perform preventive maintenance and calibration.
• Document service activities thoroughly using ServiceTrade.
• Collaborate with Deficiency Sellers and prepare repair estimates.
• Interact with clients to discuss findings and recommendations.
• Coordinate with Service Coordinators to optimize work orders.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment.
