Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Fire Installer V to install, program, troubleshoot, and service fire alarm systems at customer sites in North Carolina. You will handle networked systems, panel work, and device replacements, while reading blueprints and testing services to meet specifications.

The role requires 5+ years in low voltage/fire safety, a HS diploma, physical stamina, and a valid driver's license. Overnight travel may be required and a competitive benefits package is provided.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of documented experience in low voltage electrical systems, including Fire/Life Safety.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience reading blueprints, submittals, and manuals.
• Ability to perform physical labor and travel as needed.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, troubleshoot, configure, commission, and service fire alarm systems.
• Repair and reprogram panels, replace devices, and test low-voltage circuits.
• Program fire alarm, security, and access control panels focusing on networked systems.
• Respond to service calls promptly and document work completed.
• Read blueprints, diagrams, submittals, and manuals; supervise installation quality.
