Job summary

The Hiller Companies, LLC is seeking a Fire Alarm Service Technician to inspect, test, and repair fire alarm systems across client sites. You will perform preventive maintenance, document findings, and ensure NFPA compliance while delivering exceptional service.

Your responsibilities include troubleshooting, reporting, and coordinating with teams to provide timely repair estimates and improvements. A strong safety mindset and willingness to travel are essential.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Technical or vocational training in fire alarm systems preferred.
  • NICET certifications strongly preferred.
  • State Fire Alarm licensing preferred or ability to obtain.
  • Valid driver's license with clean record; travel to client sites may be required.
  • Experience with installation, maintenance and repair of fire alarm systems.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, test, maintain and repair fire alarm systems per NFPA codes.
  • Prepare inspection reports with findings and deficiencies.
  • Troubleshoot system malfunctions and perform repairs.
  • Respond to service calls and emergencies; restore functionality.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance and battery replacements.
  • Document activities using ServiceTrade platform.
  • Coordinate with Deficiency Sellers and provide repair estimates.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to clients.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent
Technical or vocational training in fire alarm systems
NICET Certifications
State Fire Alarm licensing
Valid driver’s license
Experience installing/maintaining fire alarm systems
