Siemens is offering a Smart Building Internship in Harleysville, PA. You will work with our team on field installations, programming, service, and commissioning of building automation and fire alarm systems.

You’ll gain hands-on experience on job sites, collaborate with engineers and sales, and learn how to deliver safe, energy-efficient building solutions while developing professional skills over ten weeks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Pursuing a 2-year technical degree in Electro-Mechanical or related field is preferred.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week for 10 weeks (May–July or June–August).
• Willingness to work onsite in Harleysville, PA and surrounding area. No relocation stipend.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship. No visa support.
• Comfortable working on rooftops, mechanical rooms, crawl spaces and outdoors.
• Hands-on role using tools, laptops, tablets, and phones to review programs.

Responsibilities

• Spend time on job sites installing, programming, and servicing HVAC automation and building systems.
• Assist in diagnosing issues and performing maintenance on fire alarm and electronic control systems.
• Collaborate with engineering and project management to resolve drawing discrepancies.
• Document service activities and explain system operations to customers; support upgrades.
• Learn from experienced technicians through on-the-job training and shadowing.
