Job summary

Siemens invites undergraduates to join the Smart Buildings Internship Program as a Fire Alarm Systems Project Management Intern for Summer 2027. You will rotate across departments focusing on smart buildings and sustainable infrastructure, with emphasis on project management activities.

Participants will gain hands-on experience, learn to manage construction projects, and shadow teams in sales and service. 40-hour weeks and a 10-week schedule provide hands-on growth in a global tech environment.

Qualifications

• Must be an undergraduate enrolled at a 4-year U.S. college or university.
• Pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Eng, Electrical Eng, Industrial Eng, Computer Science, Energy/Sustainability or Built Environment.
• Rising Sophomore, Junior or Senior.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week for 10 weeks (May–July or June–August).
• No relocation or housing stipend; visa or CPT/OPT not supported.

Responsibilities

• Review project specs, drawings, and documents to establish a delivery plan.
• Develop and maintain a project schedule and coordinate with the team.
• Procure supplies and materials for projects.
• Participate in project cost reviews.
• Track labor resources and progress.
• Pursue change-order opportunities and close-out docs.
• Rotate through departments to learn branch operations.
