Sciens Building Solutions in Houston, TX is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Systems Technician with programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting capabilities. You will collaborate with the sales team, field project teams, and clients to ensure sound design and seamless installation and commissioning of fire alarm solutions.

Qualifications

• Two to five years of technician experience in fire-life safety.
• Ability to program and commission mid-range fire alarm systems.
• Ability to terminate fire alarm control units and field equipment.
• Ability to read fire system design drawings.
• Knowledge of NFPA 72 and related codes.

Responsibilities

• Review system layouts with engineering, PM, and sales for project success.
• Produce field surveys and daily logs of activity.
• Program and commission fire alarm systems leading to AHJ acceptance.
• Prepare commissioning and inspection reports per NFPA.
• Assist in project scheduling, inventory, and on-site guidance to teams.
