Job summary

Sciens Building Solutions is actively seeking a Fire Alarm Systems Technician with programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting capabilities. You will work with our sales, project teams, and clients to ensure sound design, installation, and commissioning of fire alarm solutions.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years in the fire-life safety field, familiarity with NFPA codes, and the ability to program mid-range alarms. A valid driver's license and OSHA 10 are preferred as you travel to sites.

Qualifications

• Two to five years of experience in a technician role within the fire-life safety industry.
• Ability to program and commission mid-range fire alarm systems independently.

Responsibilities

• Review system layouts and coordinate with engineering, project management, and sales for project success.
• Produce field surveys and daily project logs.
• Program and commission complex fire alarm systems to final AHJ acceptance.
• Prepare commissioning and inspection reports per NFPA standards.
• Troubleshoot complex issues and resolve effectively.
• Manage project scheduling and progress with a focus on quality.
• Demonstrate equipment operation and respond to system signals for customers.
• Comply with safety programs and company procedures.
