Siemens Smart Buildings invites you to join an internship program for Fire Alarm Systems Technician Interns at our Shoreview, MN office. The 10-week program runs May–August with 40 hours per week, offering hands-on field experience on fire and HVAC systems in commercial buildings.

You will shadow experienced technicians, gain problem solving experience, and collaborate with engineering teams to ensure smooth project delivery while documenting activities and communicating clearly with customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Enrollment in or recent completion of a 2-year technical program in Electro-Mechanical, Electrical/Electronic Systems, Electrician Technician, Fire Protection Technology or related field.

Responsibilities

• Spend most of your time on job sites with Siemens technicians learning installation, programming and service of fire and HVAC systems.
• Assist in diagnosing issues and performing maintenance and repairs on building systems.
• Collaborate with engineering and project management to resolve discrepancies in system drawings.
• Document service activities and explain system operations to customers; support upgrades or enhancements.
