Encore Fire Protection in Brewer, ME is seeking a Fire Alarm Service Technician to inspect, test, program, and troubleshoot a wide range of fire alarm systems across customer sites. You will travel within your territory, work with customers, contractors, and internal teams, and ensure systems are compliant, reliable, and ready for operation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technical experience preferred.
• Valid electrical license per state requirements.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within your assigned territory.
• Strong knowledge of NFPA 72, NEC, OSHA regulations and fire alarm system theory.
• Hands-on experience with major manufacturers such as Notifier, Siemens, Edwards, Simplex, Fire Lite, Gamewell FCI, Honeywell.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work through issues methodically.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with customers, contractors, and internal teams.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple service assignments, and prioritize your day.
• Professional, team-oriented mindset and commitment to customer service excellence.

Responsibilities

• Service, program, test, inspect, and troubleshoot fire alarm systems.
• Perform routine maintenance and corrective repairs per NFPA 72 and company standards.
• Identify code deficiencies and provide clear, professional recommendations for system improvements.
• Respond to emergency calls as required, including nights, weekends, and on-call rotations.
• Collaborate with contractors, building personnel, and internal teams to ensure timely and efficient service delivery.
• Document service activities accurately, including findings, work performed, and parts used.
• Maintain clear communication with customers, supervisors, and office staff regarding status and next steps.
• Uphold Encore’s commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction on every site.
