Encore Fire Protection seeks a skilled Fire Alarm Service Technician to inspect, test, program, service, and troubleshoot a range of fire alarm systems across customer sites. You will work directly with customers, contractors, and internal teams to ensure systems are compliant, reliable, and ready when it matters most.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid electrical license per state requirements.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within territory.
• Strong understanding of NFPA 72, NEC, OSHA.
• Hands-on experience with major fire alarm manufacturers.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple service assignments.
• Professional communication with customers, contractors, and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Service, program, test, inspect, and troubleshoot both basic and complex fire alarm systems.
• Perform routine maintenance and corrective repairs per NFPA 72 and company standards.
• Identify code deficiencies and provide clear recommendations for improvements.
• Respond to emergency calls including nights, weekends, and on-call rotations.
• Collaborate with contractors, building personnel, and internal teams to ensure timely service.
• Document service activities with findings, work performed, and parts used.
• Maintain clear communication with customers, supervisors, and office staff.
• Uphold safety, quality, and customer satisfaction on every job site.
