Job summary

Wachter, Inc. is seeking a Fire Alarm, Intrusion, and Access Control Service Technician to work at client locations across the United States. The role requires self-motivation, reliability, and the ability to work independently on service and installation projects.

Qualifications

• Experience with Fire Alarm / Intrusion / Access Control installations.
• NICET certification preferred.
• Current/state license in applicable technology (Life Safety).
• Knowledge of NFPA standards (70, 72).
• Ability to work 8am–5pm, some nights; heights 20–60 ft.
• Excellent customer service and communication; basic PPE and transportation.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair cabling systems and equipment in IP Video, Access Control / Intrusion Alarm / LAN/WAN infrastructure, and wireless LAN.
• Run low voltage cabling in commercial buildings, including drilling walls and limited conduit bending.
• Complete wiring, terminations, and equipment installs to ensure Access Control and Intrusion systems meet requirements.
• Install, repair, or upgrade fire alarm systems and program control panels per plans and layouts.
• Mount sensors, access crawlspaces/attics, and drill holes as needed.
• Test systems to ensure operation and compliance with codes.
• Adhere to safety requirements; assist with on-site schedules and timely delivery of equipment.
• Troubleshoot new installations to ensure proper function and compliance with codes and insurance.
