Job summary

Wachter, Inc. is seeking a Fire Alarm/Intrusion/Access Control Service Technician to support installations and service across retail locations in the United States. The role requires independence, problem-solving, and a strong safety mindset.

Qualifications

• Must hold CA Blue Card Electrician Certification for Fire/Life Safety
• Field installation experience in Fire Alarm, Intrusion, Access Control
• NICET certification preferred
• Valid California driver license required
• Knowledge of NFPA 70/72 is beneficial
• Ability to travel up to 80% and perform some night shifts
• Experience reading blueprints and site maps

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair cabling systems and equipment in IP Video, Access Control / Intrusion Alarm / LAN/WAN, and wireless LAN.
• Run low voltage cabling in commercial buildings and drill through walls as needed.
• Complete wiring, terminations, and equipment installations for compliant systems.
• Install or upgrade fire alarm systems and program control panels per plans.
• Mount sensors, drill access holes, and work in crawlspaces or attics as required.
• Ensure all systems meet electrical and fire codes and are functional after tests.
• Adhere to safety requirements and assist with on-site schedules and timely delivery.
• Troubleshoot installations to ensure proper operation and compliance with codes.
