Job summary

Wachter, Inc. is hiring a Fire Alarm/Intrusion/Access Control Service Technician to service and install systems at retail locations across the United States.

The ideal candidate will read blueprints, pass NFPA standards, and communicate effectively with customers while traveling as needed. The role requires experience in security environments, a valid driver's license, and willingness to work day shifts with occasional overnight travel.

Qualifications

• Field installation experience in security environments (Fire Alarm / Intrusion / Access Control).
• NICET certification preferred.
• Valid state security or life safety license as applicable.
• Knowledge of NFPA 70 and NFPA 72.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair cabling systems and equipment in IP Video, Access Control / Intrusion Alarm / LAN/WAN infrastructure.
• Run low voltage cabling in commercial buildings, including drilling concrete walls and limited conduit bending work.
• Ensure systems meet customer requirements and contractual obligations; complete wiring and terminations.
• Test all newly installed systems to verify operation and compliance with codes.
