Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Project Manager to lead fire protection, security and life safety installation projects across commercial, educational, healthcare, and industrial facilities. You will own project plans, coordinate design reviews, permits, materials, and field work, ensuring on‑time delivery and adherence to standards.

The role requires strong MS Excel skills, superb communication, and ~30% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical, business, or related field.
• Strong MS Excel skills with ability to create tracking spreadsheets and macros.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Organized, detail oriented and self-motivated; able to travel ~30%.

Responsibilities

• Manage fire alarm, security, communications and sprinkler projects from inception to completion.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans to meet schedules and budgets.
• Lead Work in Progress meetings and coordinate with clients, architects and engineers.
• Ensure AHJ requirements, codes, and SOX procedures are followed.
• Coordinate change orders and drive margin improvement on each job.
• Communicate project status to staff, customers and management; provide professional support.
