Job summary

Johnson Controls seeks a Project Manager to oversee fire protection, security, and sprinkler installation projects in commercial, educational, healthcare, and industrial facilities. You will guide projects from inception to completion, ensuring design, permits, materials, schedules, and budgets align with client expectations.

The role emphasizes professional client interactions, adherence to codes, and coordination with Sales to support relationships and satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical, business, or equivalent field.
• Minimum five years of fire protection/construction/alarm projects management experience, or equivalent.
• Ability to read complex building documents (architectural/mechanical/electrical).
• Strong communication skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Proficient with MS Excel and tracking spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Manage fire alarm, security, communications, and sprinkler installation projects.
• Develop comprehensive project plans to meet schedules and budgets.
• Coordinate change orders and drive margin improvement.
• Ensure compliance with AHJ requirements and codes.
• Communicate status to staff, customers and management.
