Job summary

Johnson Controls seeks an experienced Project Manager to oversee fire protection, alarm, security, and sprinkler installation projects across commercial and industrial facilities. You will drive design, permitting, material delivery, scheduling, and field installation while maintaining compliance with codes and client specifications.

The role requires strong MS Excel skills, exceptional communication, and the ability to travel up to 30% to manage projects and ensure margins.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical, business, or equivalent field.
• 5 years fire protection, construction, alarm/detection, or related PM experience.
• Ability to read and understand complex building architectural, mechanical, and electrical documents.
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines with strong organizational skills.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Excel; able to create tracking spreadsheets and macros.
• Willingness to travel up to 30%.

Responsibilities

• Manage fire alarm, security, communications, and sprinkler installation projects in various facilities.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, oversee design, permits, material delivery, and schedules.
• Conduct Work in Progress meetings and ensure codes and procedures are followed.
• Coordinate change orders and drive margin improvement on every job.
• Collaborate with Sales to support client relationships and satisfaction.
