Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee fire alarm, security, communications, and nurse call installation projects in commercial, educational, healthcare, and industrial facilities. The primary focus will be security installation projects, guiding them from design through to completion.

You will coordinate design, permits, material delivery, labor schedules, and field installation while maintaining safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Two years of engineering or trade school training preferred.
• Experience in HVAC controls, BAS, Fire management, Security management, and Mechanical systems desirable.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to communicate technical material to a non-technical audience and travel.
• Proficient in project management software and financial accounting systems.
• Proficient PC skills: MS Office, Adobe Writer, Visio, Windows.

Responsibilities

• Plan and control assigned projects from inception to completion.
• Oversee commissioning to Johnson Controls standards and resolve related issues.
• Coordinate change orders and push for margin improvement.
• Estimate work and present proposals to customers.
• Staff project teams and manage procurement, logistics, and site coordination.
• Ensure safety standards and proper contract compliance.
