The Hiller Companies, LLC is seeking a Fire Alarm Service Technician to inspect, test, maintain and repair fire alarm systems in accordance with NFPA codes and local regulations. The role emphasizes repair, maintenance, and expert customer guidance on-site at client locations.

Candidates should have a NJ alarm license, 4+ years of experience, and strong problem‑solving and communication skills. Travel to diverse client sites and a robust benefits package are included.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training preferred.
• NJ license to install burglar alarms, CCTV and electronic access control is required.
• 4+ years of fire alarm installation, maintenance and repair experience in commercial/industrial settings.
• Knowledge of NFPA 72, building/fire codes, and blueprints interpretation.
• Clean driving record and ability to travel to client sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, maintain, and repair fire alarm systems to NFPA standards.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports and non‑compliance notes for customers.
• Troubleshoot system malfunctions, wiring, devices and software and perform repairs.
• Respond to service calls, diagnose issues and restore function promptly.
• Coordinate with coordinators to optimize schedules and parts usage.
• Document service activities and create repair estimates with accuracy.
