Job summary

Rex Moore Group, Inc. in Reno, NV is seeking a Systems Technician to install and repair electrical systems while complying with national and local codes.

You will program, commission and start-up low voltage systems such as Fire Alarm, Security, Access Control and Surveillance, and supervise crews on commercial job sites. This full-time position requires day shifts, up to 25% travel, and offers health benefits, 401(k) with match, paid time off and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Must hold current Fire Life Safety card.
• Must hold current ACE card.
• Proficient in fire alarm, security, access control and surveillance products/services.
• Excellent communication with managers, foremen, contractors and customers.
• Strong initiative and ability to stay organized throughout the work day.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• EST certification preferred.
• NICET certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Program, commission and start-up of Low Voltage systems including Fire Alarm, Security, Access Control and Surveillance.
• Installation and testing of low voltage devices, wiring and rough-in.
• Supervises, directs, monitors, trains and works alongside helpers, installers, telecom techs or electricians.
• Instructs employees, ensuring proper operation of tools and safety principles.
• Provides input on employee evaluations.
• Completes assignment paperwork accurately and timely.
• Attends foreman meetings and maintains regular attendance.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose installation and programming issues.
• Identifies, schedules and facilitates jobsite inspections with Customer and Field Service Manager.
