Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety is hiring a Fire Alarm Install Technician who can independently complete standard installation jobs, follow plans, and comply with codes. This role requires traveling to site locations and coordinating with teams to deliver quality work.

You will interpret blueprints, perform system testing, train entry-level technicians, and maintain accurate documentation. A high school diploma and 3+ years in fire/life safety are expected; NICET certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years of experience in fire and life safety as an apprentice or technician.
• Ability to work independently on standard installation jobs.
• Strong understanding of fire alarm systems and codes.

Responsibilities

• Independently install fire alarm systems per plans and codes.
• Interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Test systems and perform basic troubleshooting.
• Maintain documentation and travel to job sites as required.
