Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety, LLC is seeking a Fire Alarm Install Technician to independently install fire alarm systems in line with plans, specifications and applicable codes. The role requires interpreting blueprints, performing testing, and ensuring safety compliance on each project.

You will travel to job sites, train junior technicians, and coordinate with contractors while upholding company standards. A high school diploma and 3+ years in the field are required, with NICET Level I+ preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years in the fire and life safety industry as an apprentice or technician.
• Ability to work independently on standard installation jobs.
• NICET Level I or above preferred.
• Clean driving record and active driver's license if driving is required.

Responsibilities

• Independently install fire alarm systems in accordance with plans, specifications and codes.
• Complete standard installation projects without direct supervision.
• Interpret blueprints, schematics and technical drawings.
• Perform system testing and basic troubleshooting.
• Coordinate with team members, contractors and project stakeholders as needed.
• Train and support entry-level technicians and apprentices as needed.
