Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety, LLC is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Install Technician to independently perform core installation tasks for fire alarm systems. You will read blueprints, install per plans, test systems and troubleshoot under applicable codes.

The role requires 3+ years in the fire and life safety industry, a high school diploma, and a valid driver’s license. Travel to job sites is expected, and company benefits apply.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in fire and life safety industry as apprentice or technician.
• Ability to work independently on standard installation jobs.
• Strong understanding of fire alarm systems, codes and installation practices.

Responsibilities

• Independently install fire alarm systems per plans and codes.
• Complete standard installation projects without direct supervision.
• Interpret blueprints, schematics and technical drawings.
• Perform system testing and basic troubleshooting.
• Use hand tools and testing equipment for installations.
• Coordinate with team, contractors and stakeholders as needed.
• Maintain site safety and documentation of work performed.
• Train and support entry-level technicians and apprentices.
• Travel to job sites as required.
