Sciens Building Solutions is seeking a Fire Alarm Inspector in Harahan, LA to inspect and maintain fire alarm systems, ensuring code compliance and proper documentation. The role collaborates with sales, project teams, and clients to deliver timely testing and reports.

The candidate should have 1–3 years of inspector experience, NICET I, NFPA 72 and IFC knowledge, and the ability to read drawings. A valid driver’s license and OSHA-10 are required or pursued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of inspector experience in fire detection/protection.
• Knowledge of NFPA 72 and IFC code requirements.
• NICET Level I certification.
• Able to read technical drawings/diagrams and follow specifications.
• OSHA safety standards; OSHA 10 certification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Review system layouts and coordinate with systems/service departments for testing and inspection.
• Produce field surveys and daily project logs of activity.
• Inspect and maintain fire alarm systems.
• Prepare inspection and deficiency reports per NFPA guidelines.
• Deliver and test work on schedule within approved budgets.
• Log and transmit inspection reports via technical devices.
• Oversee project inventory and vehicle inventory.
• Work under tight deadlines with accuracy and urgency.
• Provide guidance to other inspectors and support teams.
• Manage job scheduling and progress to optimize quality and cost.
