Sciens Building Solutions is seeking a Fire Alarm Inspector to inspect and maintain fire alarm systems, coordinate with sales and field teams, and ensure code-compliant operations. The role emphasizes precise documentation, on-time testing, and safety compliance.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years in the field, NICET I, and knowledge of NFPA 72/IFC. A valid license, physical fitness, and reliable transport are required for daily site work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 1–3 years in inspector technician role in fire detection/protection.
• Knowledge of current fire alarm and clean agent/special hazard systems.
• NICET Level I preferred.
• NFPA 72 and IFC knowledge or state fire code understanding.
• Ability to read technical drawings/diagrams and follow specs.
• Physically capable of demanding field work; lifting up to 25 lbs, occasional 50 lbs.
• OSHA 10 certifications preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Review system layouts and coordinate with systems and service teams for testing/inspection.
• Produce field surveys and daily project logs.
• Inspect and maintain fire alarm systems.
• Prepare inspection and deficiency reports per NFPA.
• Deliver and test on schedule and within budget.
• Log and transmit inspection reports with devices.
• Oversee project inventory and vehicle inventory.
• Work under tight deadlines and provide guidance to other inspectors.
• Manage job scheduling and progress with focus on quality.
• Adhere to Sciens safety programs and procedures.
