Job summary

Sciens Building Solutions is seeking a Fire Alarm Inspector to perform inspections and maintenance of fire alarm systems in accordance with NFPA codes. The role collaborates with sales, project teams, and clients to ensure code-compliant work and timely reporting.

The successful candidate will review layouts, generate field surveys, and produce detailed deficiency reports while maintaining schedules and cost controls. A NICET I credential and valid driver’s license are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-3 years as inspector/technician in fire protection
• Knowledge of NFPA 72 and IFC fire codes
• NICET Level I certification preferred
• Able to read technical drawings/diagrams
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Review system layouts and coordinate testing/inspection with systems and service teams.
• Produce field surveys and daily project logs.
• Inspect and maintain fire alarm systems.
• Prepare inspection and deficiency reports per NFPA guidelines.
• Log and transmit inspection reports via field devices.
• Oversee project scheduling, progress, and costs.
• Ensure compliance with company safety programs and procedures.
