Job summary

Sciens Building Solutions is seeking a Fire Alarm Inspector to perform inspections and maintenance of fire alarm systems in a code-compliant manner. You will collaborate with sales, project teams, and clients to ensure accurate testing and reporting.

The role requires attention to detail, strong communication, and the ability to work under deadlines. OSHA 10 and NICET Level I are preferred, with a willingness to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of inspector technician experience in fire detection and protection.
• Ability to read technical drawings/diagrams and follow specifications.
• Knowledge of NFPA 72 and IFC fire codes.

Responsibilities

• Review system layouts and coordinate testing with systems and service departments.
• Produce field surveys and daily project logs.
• Inspect and maintain fire alarm systems and test them.
• Prepare inspection and deficiency reports per NFPA.
• Manage scheduling, progress, and cost budgets with a focus on quality.
• Log and transmit inspection reports using technical devices.
