Job summary

Encore Fire Protection seeks a Fire Alarm Service Technician to inspect, program, test, and troubleshoot a wide range of fire alarm systems across customer sites. You will be on the road, performing preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and reactive service to ensure compliance and reliability when it matters most.

You will collaborate with customers, contractors and internal teams, document findings, and uphold safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technical/industry experience preferred.
• Valid electrical license per state requirements.
• Valid driver’s license and willing to travel within territory.
• Strong understanding of NFPA 72, NEC, OSHA and fire alarm theory.
• Hands-on experience with major manufacturers listed above.

Responsibilities

• Service, program, test, inspect, and troubleshoot fire alarm systems.
• Perform routine maintenance and corrective repairs per NFPA 72 and standards.
• Identify code deficiencies and recommend improvements.
• Respond to emergency calls, including nights/weekends/on-call.
• Collaborate with contractors, building personnel, and internal teams.
• Document service activities thoroughly and accurately.
• Maintain clear customer communication regarding status and next steps.
• Uphold safety, quality, and customer satisfaction on every site.
