You will inspect, test, program, service, and troubleshoot a wide range of fire alarm systems, ensuring compliance and reliability while working in the field with customers, contractors, and internal teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technical experience preferred.
• Valid electrical license per state requirements.
• Valid driver’s license; willing to travel within your territory.
• Strong understanding of NFPA 72, NEC, OSHA regulations, and fire alarm system theory.
• Hands-on experience with major fire alarm manufacturers (Notifier, Siemens, Edwards, Simplex, Fire Lite, Gamewell FCI, Honeywell).
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills; methodical approach.
• Strong communication with customers, contractors and internal teams.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple service assignments, and prioritize.

Responsibilities

• Service, program, test, inspect, and troubleshoot fire alarm systems.
• Perform routine maintenance and corrective repairs per NFPA 72 and company standards.
• Identify code deficiencies and recommend improvements.
• Respond to emergency calls, including nights, weekends, and on-call rotations.
• Collaborate with contractors, building personnel, and internal teams for timely service.
• Document service activities with findings, work performed, and parts used.
• Maintain clear communication with customers and office staff regarding status and next steps.
• Uphold Encore’s safety, quality, and customer satisfaction on every site.
