Job summary

Superhero Fire Protection Llc is seeking a Fire Alarm Service Technician to inspect, test, troubleshoot, service and repair fire alarm and life safety systems at customer sites in Macon and surrounding areas. You will coordinate with the service team to deliver timely, professional service.

The role requires 2+ years of experience, knowledge of NFPA 72, basic electrical principles, and the ability to read drawings.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED; technical/trade schooling is a plus.
• 2+ years of experience servicing, troubleshooting, or installing fire alarm systems (commercial).
• Knowledge of NFPA 72 and basic electrical principles; NEC/NFPA 70 familiarity is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, riser diagrams, device layouts, and manufacturer documentation.
• Proficiency with computers/mobile devices for service documentation and communication.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Strong customer service, communication, and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, troubleshoot, service and repair fire alarm and life safety systems.
• Coordinate with service coordinator/management to deliver timely service.
• Document findings, actions, and closeout notes using company forms/software.
• Perform system ITM testing, functional tests, and support AHJ acceptance testing.
• Explain findings and provide information for proposals/quotes.
• Maintain vehicle, tools, and test equipment; manage inventory.
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to emergency service calls.
• Assist with small installs, device replacements, and system upgrades.
