Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety in the United States is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to sell Fire Alarm products and services to current and new clients. You will grow sales by building and maintaining relationships, identifying prospective customers, following up on leads, and recommending marketing strategies.

This role requires a bachelor’s degree or 3 years of related experience, strong interpersonal and sales skills, willingness to travel, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sales, Business, or related field OR at least 3 years of related experience required.
• NICET I or above preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Excellent sales and negotiation skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Responsibilities

• Builds and maintains a network of sources to identify new sales leads.
• Communicates with customers to identify needs and match products/services.
• Demonstrates Fire Alarm products or services to customers based on their needs.
• Maintains ongoing communication and resolves issues post-sale.
• Maintains relationships and informs customers of new products and enhancements.
• Keeps detailed reports of sales activities including calls, orders, and lost business.
• Provides periodic territory sales forecasts.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
