Job summary

Ilocatum is seeking a skilled Fire Alarm Estimator to prepare bids and estimates for fire protection projects across all phases. You will interpret drawings, collaborate with subcontractors, vendors, and clients, and ensure pricing reflects real-world costs and timelines.

The role is primarily office-based with occasional job site visits. AHS diploma or associate degree preferred, with 1–5 years estimating experience and proficiency in Bluebeam, On Screen Takeoff, and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Experience reading and interpreting fire alarm drawings and construction documents.
• Proficiency with Bluebeam, On Screen Takeoff, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong math and analytical skills, with the ability to complete quantity surveys and pricing under deadline pressure.
• 1 to 5 years of estimating or related field experience; A High School Diploma is required; an Associate's Degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare bid proposals and estimates across all phases of fire alarm construction projects.
• Attend job site walk-throughs, assess site conditions, and factor those variables into pricing.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and clients to ensure estimates reflect real-world costs and timelines.
• Work closely across internal departments and help develop the sales strategies that bring projects to the table.
