Job summary
Strategic Connections INC is looking for a Fire Alarm System Estimator to evaluate project requirements, interpret construction documents, and develop accurate cost estimates for fire alarm and life-safety system installations. This role collaborates with project managers, sales teams, engineers, and clients to deliver competitive proposals that meet code standards.
The position emphasizes reviewing drawings, NFPA 72 familiarity, vendor coordination for pricing, and producing comprehensive bid
Qualifications
- Experience estimating fire alarm and life-safety projects.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specs.
- Familiarity with NFPA 72 and local codes.
- Proficient with estimating software and takeoff tools.
- Strong math, analytical, and organizational skills.
Responsibilities
- Review drawings and specs to determine system scope.
- Prepare detailed material and labor estimates.
- Develop bid proposals with pricing and exclusions.
- Ensure estimates comply with NFPA and AHJ requirements.
- Coordinate pricing with vendors for lead times.
- Track bid status and maintain cost databases.
