Qualifications

• Three to five years of relevant experience in fire alarm, low-voltage systems, construction, estimating, sales, or a related field preferred.
• Fire alarm technician experience transitioning into estimating or sales is valued.
• NICET certification in fire alarm systems preferred; relevant experience and certification considered together.

Responsibilities

• Review bid opportunities, confirm project scope, requirements, and deadlines.
• Prepare complete cost estimates within bid schedule from drawings/specs.
• Perform labor/material takeoffs and estimate costs for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
• Use Bluebeam and quoting system to develop estimates and cost breakdowns.
• Obtain vendor/subcontractor pricing and include costs in estimates.
• Identify scope questions and coordinate with management/sales before proposals.
• Manage multiple bids and communicate progress to the team.
• Assemble estimate materials for turnover to project management after award.
• Participate in continuing education to maintain certifications.
• Follow company standards, procedures, and safety policies.
• Perform other related duties as required.
