Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety in Denver seeks an Estimator to prepare proposals for fire alarm systems. You will perform bid layouts, material takeoffs, and vendor pricing while writing quotes and ensuring timely estimates for fixed bid dates.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in estimating or designing fire alarm systems, NFPA proficiency, and strong math/communication skills. Travel may be required; MS Office proficiency is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience designing or estimating fire alarm systems.
• Familiarity with NFPA Code and ability to read/interpret.
• Ability to create alarm & suppression layouts and perform material take-offs.
• Strong math skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient in MS Office and able to work to deadlines.
• Bachelor's degree or higher preferred; travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform bid layouts and material takeoffs.

• Read, interpret, and apply NFPA requirements.
• Collaborate with sales, operations and design staff.
