Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety, LLC is seeking a Fire Alarm Estimator in Madison, TN to prepare proposals, perform takeoffs, and price fire alarm systems. You will read NFPA codes and work with sales, operations, and design staff to interpret project specifications and deliver accurate estimates.

Requirements include 2+ years designing or estimating fire alarm systems, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and ability to travel overnight occasionally. NICET certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years designing or estimating fire alarm systems.
• Familiarity with NFPA code requirements and ability to interpret specs.
• Proficient in creating alarm layouts and material takeoffs.
• Strong math, detail orientation, and deadline-driven work.
• Ability to travel overnight occasionally and maintain valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform bid layouts and prepare proposals for fire alarm systems.
• Complete material takeoffs, obtain vendor pricing, and write quotes.
• Ensure estimates comply with NFPA codes and project specs.
• Collaborate with sales, operations, and design staff on specifications.
• Produce timely estimates and update Compass/operating systems.
